Wolfhall is a manor house just outside the village of Burbage, here in the Vale of Pewsey and was the house of the Wardens of Savernake Forest. It is close to Savernake Forest, an ancient hunting forest which was frequented by King Henry VIII as a guest of Sir John Seymour. The tomb of Sir John Seymour, Jane Seymour's father, is in St Mary's Church in Great Bedwyn. It is a privately owned house, owned by the family who can trace their roots back to the Seymours.
It all happened here in the Pewsey Vale and is part of the area's rich history.
We would ask you to respect the family's privacy should you visit the location. Thank you.
