This one-day itinerary is of interest to anyone who likes food and walking!
It includes a delightful walk, as well as lunch at The Shears Inn and a visit to the local delicatessen, Gastro Nicks, where you can find local and Mediterranean produce from artisan food producers.
You can organise your day according to availability of the activities.
Morning
This very popular walk from the Avon & Bourne Valley group takes you around the parish boundary of Everleigh. There are two options – a shorter walk of about 6 miles and a longer version of 9 miles. Everleigh is to the west of Collingbourne Ducis, so there is a short drive from one Everleigh to Collingbourne Ducis.
2 to 3.5 hours depending on option taken
Lunch
Lunch at The Shears Inn in Collingbourne Ducis is a real treat – make sure you book your table in advance as it is very popular.
This beautiful thatched country pub has a spacious feel inside whilst retaining its cosy, 500 year history. The extensive garden has a large seating area and there is plenty of parking. It also has 6 B&B rooms.
You can find out more about The Shears Inn here.
Afternoon
You can also ask to taste before you buy on many of the products – particularly the wide range of cheeses which are just delicious.
If you would like to take an Antipasti Box home with you to round off the day, please pre-order and collect when you visit.
Allow 1 to 1.5 hours unless you are there for Pizza Night in which case allow longer!

On both Thursday and Friday it’s fresh fish day – sustainably caught, seasonal fish from fishing ports along England’s South Coast, Brixham or Newlyn and delivered fresh each morning to the shop.
If you are there on Friday, it’s Pizza Night with toppings of your choice – perfect with a glass of something from their range of soft and alcoholic drinks. Have a look here for the current Pizza Night Menu.
