One of four off road routes that start and finish at the Co-op Car Park in Pewsey.
Designed to meet different levels of experience and ability, these itineraries have been specially created by local experts to reveal the best of the Vale’s landscape. Routes can be muddy and overgrown at certain times of the year. It is essential to take two spare inner tubes, a pump and tyre levers.
Route 4 is 85% off-road. Lots of hills over exposed areas, and taking in the Wansdyke / Tan Hill Way.
Things to see en route: Alton White Horse, Strip Lynchetts at Woodborough Hill, Ladies’ Bridge.

More about the Vale of Pewsey
The North Wessex Downs National Landscape includes within its 1730 sq.kms. some of the finest landscape in England, including chalk downland, river valleys, ancient woodland and historic sites, with the Vale of Pewsey at its heart.
Great West Way is a 125 mile touring route in the south of England, stretching from London to Bristol. The Vale of Pewsey is located right in the middle of the Great West Way, and is easily accessible by rail, road and canal.
