Located in the beautiful village of Wilton

The Cattle Shed is home to a range of independent shops and workshops, including antiques and vintage, food and products for your dog, art, photography, craft workshops, dog grooming, homeware and gifts. You’ll also find Huntington Bourne – a bakery and cafe for takeaway or eat in delicious cake-slices, cakes, tartlets, pastries, cookies & muffins!

The Cattle Shed, as you might guess, is located on a working farm and so there are often farm animals to see. Just across the road are the emus, which are very entertaining!

With free all day parking, The Cattle Shed has views up the hill to Wilton Windmill and is just yards away from The Swan Inn.

It’s easy to make a day of it – a visit to The Cattle Shed, lunch at The Swan and then a walk up to Wilton Windmill, taking in Crofton Beam Engines, the Kennet & Avon Canal and the Roman road. Or choose one of the other walks in the area.

If you are visiting the Vale of Pewsey, then you have to come to The Cattle Shed!

More things to do in and around Wilton

Wilton is a delightful village in the parish of Grafton. It is home to Wilton Windmill, the only working windmill in Wessex, and Wilton Water, which is a reservoir for the Kennet & Avon Canal. Close by is Crofton Beam Engines, the original pumping station for the Kennet & Avon Canal, taking water from Wilton Water and topping up the canal, which loses water through the lock system.
